The double-sided design lets me switch from the wire side for mats to the softer side for finishing, which actually gets her to sit still for a few minutes. A nice upgrade from the plastic brushes I've

My old slicker brush barely touched the mats behind my cat's ears, but this one breaks them up in a couple of passes. The bamboo handle feels light in my hand and doesn't slip when my fingers get a bit greasy from the fur. Genuinely surprised how much loose undercoat came off.

The double-sided design makes quick work of tangles, and the bamboo handle feels much sturdier than plastic brushes I've used before.
