Compare Carefresh Natural and Tutti Frutti beddings for small pets. Learn the key differences in odor control, absorbency, and aesthetics to choose the best option for your hamster, guinea pig, or rabbit.
Quick answer
Both Carefresh Natural and Tutti Frutti offer the same ultra-absorbent, pillowy soft base made from reclaimed natural fiber. The choice comes down to scent: Natural is unscented and best for sensitive pets, while Tutti Frutti adds a light fruit fragrance to help mask odors in the cage.
Same core, different extras
Carefresh makes both Natural and Tutti Frutti from the same 100% reclaimed natural fiber, using their proprietary ComfyFluff™ technology. That means both offer the same soft texture, high absorbency, and dust-free environment that small pet owners rely on.
The only difference is the scent. Natural bedding has no added fragrance, making it ideal for pets with sensitive respiratory systems or for owners who prefer a neutral cage. Tutti Frutti includes a light fruit scent that can help keep the cage smelling fresh between cleanings.
How to choose between Natural and Tutti Frutti
- Unscented vs scented: Natural has no added fragrance; Tutti Frutti has a light fruit scent. If your pet has ever shown sensitivity to smells or if you prefer a neutral cage, go with Natural. If you want a subtle fresh scent between cleanings, Tutti Frutti is a fine option.
- Same absorbency and softness: Both beddings use the same ComfyFluff™ fibers, so you get identical absorbency, softness, and dust control. Your choice does not affect cage cleanliness or pet comfort. Focus on scent preference, not performance.
- Size options: Natural is available in two sizes, while Tutti Frutti comes in a 10L bag. If you need a larger quantity for multiple cages or deep bedding, check the Natural size options first. Check available sizes before buying.
